Sumario:Can ethics of care paradigm by Carol Gilligan provide a helpful contribution to tackling some of the contemporary world social issues? We can attempt to answer this question by focusing on some themes that ethics of care underlines. We have to focus on the responsiveness of the moral subject for the others’ needs and also we have to focus on the difference between concrete other and generalized other. Together with Carol Gilligan, Virginia Held, Seyla Benhabib and Charles Taylor indicate the way to face this philosophical argument.
