In this study, information was stated about a poet Ismail Hakkı Oral who was a religious attendant in Kuşçu village of Kayseri’s Yeşilhisar town in 1942 and his manuscript entitled “Three Saga” was presented to consideration. He was born in Kayseri, and spent most of his life in around Kayseri. There is not plenty of information about his life. Our study particularly defined the second part of this manuscript which contains the poem about the Erzincan’s earthquake in 1939. When Erzincan’s saga was read, it would be considered that this earthquake affected the poet deeply. This study, which was included two parts, was prepared about Ismail Hakkı Oral and his “Three Saga” In the first part, the life of Ismail Hakkı Oral and his poetry were given. Poems were examined in terms of form and content. In the second part, there is a translation- transcription of “Three Saga”. The unique handwritten manuscript entitled “Three Saga” presented in National Library was introduced and it was stated as the transcriptional full text of the translated form from Arabic alphabet to current letters. |
