Sumario:In recent years, change has made itself felt in every aspect of life. This situation just as affects the social life of people, so affects to life of businesses that are legal entities. Each day, they more struggle to survive in tough market conditions, and despite the ever-evolving and changing technology, they are in need of human element and their talents more and more. In this context, to be able to direct their behaviors and to develop and reinforce the desired characteristics are standing in front of human resources managers as an important issue. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to demonstrate the influence of the rewards and rewards systems used in today's corporate enterprises on the competencies that are the distinguishing features of employees. In this context a questionnaire form prepared between September 2017 and February 2018 was distributed to 432 employees consisting of public and private sector employees of an international airport operating in the Aegean Region and provided a one hundred percent return. As a result of the analyzes made, the existence of a meaningful and positive relationship between the business reward systems and the employee competencies was found. In addition, it was determined that the variation between the factors constituting the research variables is linear and positive. On the other hand according to these results obtained, it has understood that reward systems used as a tool to increase working motivation in enterprises can be used as a tool in the development and consolidation of employee competencies and also as a criterion in rewarding process in competencies.
