| Summary: | The Turkish has always had a great interest in sports throughout history. We see that women are also involved in sport, which is a vital element for Turkish society. It in not possible to see this relation between sports and women in another society. Turkish women’s interest in sport takes place even if in Turkish Epic stories and there are expressions alluding to women’s involvement in sport. The objective of this research is to find out the expressions in Turkish epic stories and alluding to women’s involvement in sport. There are particularly from Dede Korkut, Huban Arıg, Cangıl Mızra,, Danısmendname, and Battal Gazi epic stories and it was aimed to find aut the relation between sport and women. |
