Sumario:Contemporary children's literature has revealed a tendency to upgrade speeches of the past by means of creating scenarios, which show conflicts situated within a distant time from the contemporary reader. Besides this feature, literature has been enriched by visual investment in such a way that books have become hybrid objects, and the reading of these works must consider, therefore, two characteris- tics on both the verbal and the visual language.
