Sumario:The article discusses the problem of reflection in the caricature of the events of the «constitutional revolution», 1828-1832, which was the turning point in the process of democratization of English state. Analysis of the cartoons showed a significant decrease of anti-dissent and anti-Catholic phobias in English society, contributed to the implementation of the two first acts of «constitutional revolution» - laws to expand the rights of dissenters and Catholics. The support of the parliamentary reform of 1832 by the significant part of the society have also been appropriately reflected in the cartoon. In general the caricature was fairly accurate barometer of public sentiment, having important historical value.
