Sumario: | Aim. Estimation of the functional status dynamics of patients with non Q-wave myocardial infarction using a 6-minute walk test depending on the treatment in the acute period during the 6-month follow-up period.
Materials and Methods. We examined 77 patients (63.6% males) with non Q-wave of myocardial infarction at the age from 50 to 79 (on average 64.1±1.0) years. Hospital strategy was designed in accordance with the standards of treatment of the acute coronary syndrome without ST-elevation. The assessment of the functional condition of patients was performed using a 6-minute walk test.
Results and Discussion. It was determined that percutaneous angioplasty in patients with non Q-wave myocardial infarction in acute period is accompanied by a significant improvement in the functional state of patients during 3 and 6 months, which is characterized by a significant increase in the value of the distance traveled by 10.6% and 23.9%, respectively (p<0.0001) and a decrease of the average functional class size by 16.2% and 27.9%, respectively (p<0.002). In patients with non Q-wave myocardial infarction who did not receive invasive treatment in the acute period, no positive dynamics of the functional state of patients was obtained, only the tendency to increase the value of the distance traveled by 1,2% (p=0,13) in the 3rd and a tendency to decrease the indicator by 0.5% (p=0.51) in the 6th month.
Conclusions. A significant decrease in the mean value of the functional class of heart failure in these patients is determined only for 3 months at 7.9% (p=0.04), while in the 6th month only a tendency towards a decrease of 1.7 is recorded % (p=0.78) compared to the original value. |
