It was observed that the Bahia’s industrial activity, is more diversification in their sectors. The state has companies with the greatest number of employees. But the Ceará case presents a model guided by more traditional sectors such as textiles, food and beverages, as well as strong participation in the footwear industry. This occurs despite the latest move towards diversification branches as the case of expansion of industry Transport Material. Still, its industrial structure and the profile of the formal employment is predominantly ruled in more traditional sectors.José Ediglê Alcantara MouraFrancisco do O\u2019 de Lima JúniorDenis Fernandes AlvesUniversidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sularticleindustrial employmentbahiacearáeconomic dynamicsEconomic growth, development, planningHD72-88PTDesenvolvimento em Questão, Vol 17, Iss 47, Pp 248-264 (2019)
