Sumario:Recent researches have put forward that “intelligence” is not only considered as Intelligence Quotient (IQ), the term also refers to Emotional Quotient (EQ). Awareness of emotions, managing emotions, establishing personal motivation and empathy are both dteermined by EQ. It is also of vital importance in terms of constituting personal satisfaction and happiness not only in personal level but also in educational level. Increasing importance of Emotional Quotient also brings about the fact regarding the implementation and measuring of EQ. The 2000s witnessed an increase on researches focusing on the relationship between Emotional Quotient and education. However, it has been observed that most of the researches have been implemented either on primary schools or at unversities. The aim of this research is to identify the impacts of EQ on teaching class managerial skillls. Therefore 80 primary school teacher working for Ministry of Education and 35 University teaching staff from Mersin University, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Engineering have been involved in research survey. Demographic features of educational staff and their impacts on managerial skills and EQ have been determined. Pearson Correlation, Chi-Square, Student-t Test, One-Way ANOVA, Cronbach’s Alpha tests have been used in the research. According to research results, there is a statistically significant difference between teachnig staff’s age, education level, working experience, type of institution.
