Study Design: Cross sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: Lady Reading Hospital, from Jan 2014 to Apr 2018. Methodology: Review of 53 consecutive cancer patients who underwent intramedullary nailing for long bone metastatic disease at Lady Reading Hospital from January 2014 to April 2018. Results: In 21 of the 53 patients (40%) a positive diagnosis of metastatic bone disease was confirmed and in 38 out of 53 (72%) sample was considered adequate tissue for histopathological analysis. Conclusion: Our study did not support the reliability of intramedullary reaming sample biopsy in metastatic long bone disease.Umar Zia KhanWali MuhammadFaaiz Ali ShahArmy Medical College Rawalpindiarticlebonemetastatic diseaseMedicineRMedicine (General)R5-920ENPakistan Armed Forces Medical Journal, Vol 69, Iss 6, Pp 1283-1286 (2019)
