Sumario:Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education (BÖTE) accept students both from general high schools and related departments of vocational high schools. Since vocational high school graduates took some computer courses during their high school education they are expected to be more successful in computer related technical courses than the general high school graduates during their undergraduate education. Thus, general high schools graduates are anxious about their success in computer related technical courses which negatively affect their status of self-efficacy. Tiredness, pessimism, stress, anxiety and etc. which are called as “psychological status” are among the elements affecting level of self-efficacy. Self-efficacy and psychological status are interrelated affecting each other. So, validity and affects of these anxieties of students on their grades in this type of courses are to be examined in this study. In this context, courses are grouped in to two categories; “technical computer courses” and “other courses”. Correlational research design applied in this study and mean scores of students in both groups are compared in order to explore the relationship between high school type and grades taken. Gender and instruction type (day or evening) are other independent variables taken into consideration.
