The changes of some indicators of endothelial dysfunction in response to physical activity in individuals with arterial hypertension
The aim of our study was to evaluate nitrosooxidative status, the content of hydrogen sulphide and cortisol in blood serum of patients with a II stage arterial hypertension under the conditions of physical exertion. Material and Methods.Thirtypatients with II stage arterial hypertension were exam...

Material and Methods.Thirtypatients with II stage arterial hypertension were examined. The examined patients were exposed to two-stage physical exertionusing veloergometer with the intensity of 50 and 75 % of the proper maximal oxygen uptake (MOU) of the body. Results and Discussion. In blood serum of patients before and after physical exertionthe content of TBA-active products, hydrogen sulphide, L-arginine, nitric anion, sum of nitrite-nitrate, cortisol, activity of SOD, catalase, and arginase were determined. A significant increase of L-arginine and hydrogen sulphide against a background of the decrease of nitrite-anion and sum of nitrite-nitrate was noted. It may be suggested that in individuals with hypertension under the influence of physical exertion thesynthesis of NO decreases and vasodilatation and vasoprotection occur by means of increase of the hydrogen sulphide level. Conclusions. The increase of the level of L-arginine and hydrogen sulphide as well as the decrease of nitrite-anion level may be considered to be markers of evaluation of immediate changes in patients with arterial hypertension after physical exertion. The response rate of enzyme systems caused by physical activity differs among patients with an increase in blood pressure.I.S. DronykO.Y. YavorskyO.Y. SklyarovR.S.
