In describing and examining the information objects and processes, Dostoevsky used his findings to develop new artistic techniques and forms. The narrative structure of his novels is directly linked with the reflection of a highly organized information space. Dostoevsky’s heroes are continuously active in the process of creating, developing and distributing information products of varying degrees of complexity and purpose. In his novels, F.M. Dostoevsky made an artistic discovery of information reality and created a special poetics of presenting it. The article takes Crime and Punishment as its case in point to demonstrate those features of Dostoevsky’s poetics that are linked to the objectives of artistically representing the information space.Pavel E.
