Sumario:This paper discusses the process of designing and implementing a specific policy at the University of the Republic, Uruguay, which seeks to include the dimension of care from a gender and feminist perspective. Firstly, some conceptual supports are introduced, as well as some studies which allow us to review and cross reference through all the organization, which perceives itself as a gender neutral space, while it continues to sustain multiple inequalities. Secondly, the process of building and consolidating a care policy within the University of the Republic is analyzed. It is relevant to highlight the different strategies executed, the spaces and actors involved. Finally, some reflections of this process still under construction are considered.
