Sumario:Migration means the movement that takes place resulting to the increase or decrease of a population. The reasons for these changes are births, deaths, and immigration. Increase in the population of the Ağrı city was effective natural population growth, but in the population decrease, migrations have been effective. In the republican period when the first census was done, the city of Ağrı's population was 104,435 during the year 1927 but, according to ADNKS results, the city of Ağrı's population was 292,525 in the city central district of Ağrı, and in the towns of Ağrı population was 259,879. In total, the population of Ağrı was 552,404. As far as Turkey is concerned, Ağrı accelerated the urbanization process subsequent to the year 1950. For this purpose, the revealed tables with the evaluation of the results of population census by TUIK, which will enable an analysis of both the overall structure of the population as well as the later periods, will make it easier for the forecasting. In the conducted censuses between the years of 1927-2012 in the city of Ağrı (about 85-year periods), it is taken to attention that the rate of urban population increases approximately twenty-six times, but the rate of the rural population increase nearly three times. However, it is also taken to attent
