Therefore, authentic leader is considered as a positive and advanced leadership type. Ethical values like transparency constitute one of the key components of authentic leadership. Such ethical values enable followers to trust their leaders. For this reason, in this study, authentic leadership subject is evaluated in terms of organizational trust perspective. Afterwards, these obtained data is analyzed with SPSS 20.0 program and as a result of the analysis, it is determined that there is a positive and very high level of significant relationship between organizational trust, which is dependent variable of the research, and authentic leadership, which is main independent variable. When the relationships between dependent variable and sub independent variables are examined, it is determined that there is a positive and very high level of significant relationship also between organizational trust and four sub dimensions of authentic leadership (relational transparency, self-awareness, internalized moral perspective and balanced processing). In this study that the effect of employees’ demographic characteristics on authentic leadership and organizational trust is searched, it is found that only education level has a meaningful effect on employees’ authentic leadership and organizational trust perceptions. When the averages are examined, it is determined that the level of organizational trust and authentic leader perception of high school graduate employees are higher compared to employees from other educational levels.Oya KORKMAZFırat Universityarticleauthentic leadershipleadershiptrust conceptorganizational trusttrust typesSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 10, Iss 58, Pp 437-454 (2019)
