Sumario:The purpose of this article is to discuss issues related to the preservation of institutional memory in brazilian Judiciary. Therefore, some reflections on the concepts of institutional memory are proposed in the light of new initiatives insidethe Judiciary that have leveraged the improvement of document and memory management policies. We analyze the terms in which institutional memory can be considered a constant construction, which balances between objectivity and multiple subjectivities, in the connection between documents, individual and social memories. Some of the legal frameworks that guide document and memory management in the judiciary bodies are discussed, with emphasis on Resolution Nº 324 of the National Council of Justice, publishedin July 2020, which came to consolidate such policies and expand the acting horizons of archives, libraries, museums and, above all, memory centers.
