Sumario: | The purpose of this study is to evaluate the perception of farmers on the land consolidation activities aspect to the expected benefit. Based on FAOs technical guidelines and food requirements for the world, the need of land consolidation for agricultural land is increasing rapidly. For this reason, the consolidating lands through land exchanges to form plots that are better adapted to their proper use (e.g. plots are larger and/or better shaped), a new idea started to be implemented in different areas of the world, has been a pioneer. In this context, land consolidation means a comprehensive reallocation procedure of a rural area consisting of fragmented agricultural or forestry enterprises or their parts. For rural development, land consolidation is used in several countries in the Continental Europe. Land consolidation projects have been implemented in Turkey since 1961. Acıpayam - Yeşildere is one of them completed in 2008. The data collection phase, the "structured interview" method was used to determine the differences and the similarities in the information obtained between the 31 farmers in order to make comparisons after the land consolidation. The interpretation of the obtained data, descriptive analysis was used to reduce the masses to identify and understandable manner. Due to a decrease in the presence of the land and no harvesting, land consolidation created the negative perception on farmer. However, the most of farmers due to useful effects as irrigation, transportation, fuel efficiency, fertilization and land use has created a generally positive perception. |
