Reaction kinetics and interplay of two different surface states on hematite photoanodes for water oxidation

Detailed understanding of the reaction kinetics of the surface states of hematite photoanodes is crucial to improving their water oxidation performance. Here the authors reveal two dynamically interacting states which play a key part in the structure properties of these anodes.
