The structure of the polymer composites was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The result showed that dihydroxyl group was successfully grafted onto the PB molecular chain. The compatibility of TA in PB matrix was improved by the hydrogen bonds between the dihydroxyl group and TA. The introduction of hydrogen and boronic ester bonds could improve the mechanical properties of PB effectively.
