Sumario:Innovation concept, which is used frequently today, mean not only new products but also commercializable, money-saving new products. Innovative entrepreneurship play an important role in the development of countries. Innovative entrepreneurs constantly develop innovation, such as new products, new markets, new production processes or new organizations. Metacognitive awareness of innovative entrepreneurship is the awareness of one's own thinking processes and managing these processes. As the metacognitive awareness is high, the tendency of the person on this issue will increase. For this reason, it is necessary to regulate the media features in a way that supports awareness of innovative entrepreneurship. This information has been the starting point of our study. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between university students' metacognitive awareness of innovative entrepreneurship and their environment characteristics. In this study, environment features were tried to investigate in two sub-factors as supports and obstacles. In addition, the scale used to determine metacognitive awareness of innovative entrepreneurship was tried to be measured in four sub-dimensions as estimation, planning, monitoring and evaluation. 1660 senior students studying at 12 universities in 10 provinces in various regions of Turkey have participated to the research. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by using the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 25.0 program. According to the analysis results of the data collected in the research, when the correlation coefficients of the research variables were analyzed, it was found that there was a statistically significant and positively correlated (r = 0.408; p <0.05) relationship between the metacognitive awareness scale of innovative entrepreneurship and the scale for determining the environment characteristics. As a result of this study, it was concluded that we should increase the supporting factors in their environment in order to increase the metacognitive awareness of university students on innovative entrepreneurship.
