Sumario:Identification of silencer elements by computational or experimental approaches in a genome-wide manner is still challenging. Here authors define uncharacterized cis-regulatory elements (CREs) in human and mouse genomes likely containing silencer elements, and test them in cells using massively parallel reporter assays to identify silencer elements that showed silencer activity.
