| Résumé: | On 17 September 1939 Tevfik Fikret’s news published in Yeni Sabah reported that Americans would buy Aşiyan in Rumeli Hisarı and turn into a museum. On 21 December 1939 Tevfik Fikret arguments came into question again with a survey consisting of six questions prepared by Yeni Sabah. The answers given by the leading authors/poets to the survey were supported with writings in Yeni Adam, Ulus and Bozkurt by associates that did not take part in this survey, some of them were criticized. Some of the answers given to questions about poet changed the course of the argument, Mehmet Akif-Tevfik Fikret matter was discussed again and Fikret was compared with Namık Kemal. In this study feelings and thoughts of the leading intellectuals were put forth with all aspects of mutual defense. |
