For this reason, the number of researches on the use of technology in teaching various subjects is increasing day by day. The use of technology has an important place in the effective teaching of social studies course which has great role in preparing students for life. So, the use of technology in social studies education has attracted the attention of many researchers and it has been observed that a significant amount of literature has been created on the subject. In this study, it is aimed to analyze the researches in our country on social studies and technology in terms of various variables. By examining the researches on the subject, it is expected to determine the trends in the literature and contribute to the production of new and original researches. This study, which is based on qualitative research method, was conducted based on the survey design. Within the scope of the research, a total of 82 researches, 35 of which are articles, 38 of which are master's theses and 9 of which are doctoral theses, were examined based on the document analysis method. These studies were analyzed through the publication classification form developed by the researchers. Descriptive analysis and content analysis methods were used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis, it has been observed that the researches on the subject have increased significantly since 2006 and mainly the quantitative research method has been used. It was determined that the researches were mostly designed according to survey design and teachers were preferred as the study group.
