Sumario:Acquiring skills of making a speech in the Japanese language as a kind of prepared oral monologue speech implies not only an ability to collect and select material, to find arguments for issue revealing, to expound the topic logically and to arrange the utterance in accordance with the main idea, but also to arrange all the material and give the compositional ending of the text, to intone the text correctly, to answer questions etc. The article gives a detailed description of difficulties that emerge at the moment of oral speech presentation made by Russian students in the Japanese language at the initial stage of education. These difficulties include the following: the difficulty of report articulation and intonation with the tempo which is normal for Japanese monologue passages; the difficulty of contact establishment with the audience during the delivery of speech in the Japanese language; the difficulty of selecting polite expressions used in answering questions in Japanese.
