The introductory part includes the purpose, problem and method of studying. In the first part, information about the birth of the dance has been given and it has been mentioned that the dance begins with the existence of humankind. In the same chapter, the definition of dance was made by describing and classifying people by means of dancing, the meaning we have given to it, and the sense of this sense. In the second part, the function of dance was processed with "Body Anthropology" and "Dance Anthropology” approach; The physical and socio-cultural and spiritual dimensions of these functions are discussed. In the last section, the results obtained from this study are summarised; It was concluded that dance is an important part of life; The dancer likes dancing because dance has contributed to physical relaxation, physical development and physical fitness as a bodily activity.
