It comes from the excavations performed by the Anglo-French archaeologist G.E. Bonsor (1855-1930) at the Orientalising cemetery of Acebuchal (Carmona, Seville), during the season of 1896. It is a pivot fastener belt, but pivots are not cast together with the plate but joined later by hammering. That constitutes an exception within this well-known group which is related to the so-called Tartessian belts. The study of this object and their special features allows us to suggest some notes on the production of metallic bronze belts on Iberian Peninsula over the 8th and 6th centuries BC mainly concerning the different craft behaviours as well as their distribution and trade areas.Javier Jiménez ÁvilaAlfredo Mederos MartínCasa de VelázquezarticleBronzesIron AgePhoenician archaeologyMetal CraftsSmall findsSpainHistory of SpainDP1-402Latin America.
