However, traditionally the leader in innovations, the automotive industry still stands timidly towards the emerging challenges for the theme, experienced especially in large urban centers. Thus, it is understood the need to research of how this industry have faced the challenges front the uncertainties generated by the emerging demands of society, not only by improvements in mobility, but made in a sustainably way. The research use a descriptive approach and it were analyzed three automakers global corporate reports. The main results of research highlights the greater concentration on incremental innovations in the technologies based on combustion engines and research efforts for the development and improvement of product technology.
