In our country, learning English has been involved in curriculum from primary school to university education. However, despite of these all efforts, it is a reality that learning English could not reach the level of desired. The aim of this study is to determine the views of secondary school students about the problems they face in learning English. Within this scope, it is tried to determine what the problems students have in listening, speaking, writing, and reading; the sufficiency and effectiveness of methods, techniques and equipments of English teachers use in their classes; and the physical opportunities&equipments of classes. Moreover, the views of students about the necessity of learning English is tried to determine. In this study, qualitative research design has been used. The study group consist of the students who study in a state school, in center of Elazığ, in 2016-2017 academic year, spring term. Maximum variation sampling method has been used in the study. In this direction, 5th , 6th, 7th and 8th grade students get involved in study. Six each students have been determined from each grade as two of them are good, two average, and two weak in termof their language adequancy. Totally, 24 students participated the study. Volunteer students participated to the study. 5 semi-structured questions was asked to students and interviewed was face to face. With this study, it is determined that students have some problems with their teacher, classroom environment and the physical opportunities of school.
