| Sumario: | The text presents and discusses John Searle’s taxonomy of rule, introducing a new type: the emergent rule. It also explains the importance of the emergent rule for the social reality. Searle thinks that the social reality is the outcome of a construction, but he is wrong. The emergent social reality is not constructed, nor can it be. To accept this leads to a drastic change in the theory and the paper tries to bring the reader to this new perspective within the fileld of social philosophy.
