Sumario:Jagiellonian Cultural Studies as a project of cultural studies Research on culture has never really been a single whole. This results not only from the axiological multiplicities and methodological assumptions adopted by individual disciplines, but also from the ontological diversity of the object of analysis itself, the different ways of existence of what was and is called and defined as “culture”. Probably, it will never be possible to encapsulate in a uniform formula the vitality, spontaneity and even the specific mystery of the essence of culture. Culture reflects the essence of humanity contained in a question, not so much about “what” but “who” is a human being in his/her individual and collective identity.
