This paper looks closely at the knot in Ancient Egyptian texts. It signified a symbol of life, flourish and sovereignty in the pyramid and coffin texts as well as The Book of the Dead. It also represents a symbol for the beginnings of life in the doctrines of creation in Ancient Egyptian believe. It appears in solar myths symbolizing the light of the sun and its daily cycle.
