Sumario:Romania being a country that was ruled for a long time by a communist regime, it underwent a rather difficult transition process to a market economy. The years immediately following the fall of the regime were characterized by chaos, uncertainty, economic and social disorder, aspects that were ignored by political leaders who displayed an indifferent attitude. Romania, both in the transition period from 2000-2016 and after 2016, shows that the political situation, together with legislative instability, unpredictable decisions taken by the government and the poor quality of institutions affect the country's economic situation.
