The middle of XIILth. Century, The Region was Conquered permanently by Turks.However, The land was changed hands many times among Selcuks Mongols and Turkish principalities Denizli, at the second quarter of XIII.th. Century, had been given to Sahib Ata’s son’s as “ ikta “. The Region was attacked many times by Turkish principalitiesln 1291, Geyhatu Khan, the Mongol emperor, was rushed and handed the Region. lbn Batuta, famous traveler, visited Denizli in 1332 According to his writings the city had 7 mosque, the bazaars, vineyards and orchards and springs. Magnificent fabrics embroided with gold or silver thread were made by using high quality cotton grow in the area.» Mongols tried to control pressure and gave importance region.
