| Sumario: | <!DOCTYPE html><html><head></head><body><p class="w_txt_td">Aim. To identify lexical and syntactic means of forming the “American dream” concept and to reveal their stylistic potential.<br />Methodology. The author has analyzed the content of the social network Twitter and the mini-blog service Tumblr from 2015 to 2021. The following methods were used: the continuous sampling method, the method of statistical analysis and data interpretation, contextual and discourse analyses.<br />Results. The author has described the linguistic means contributing to revealing new meanings of the “American dream” concept, in comparison with those that were embedded in it at earlier stages of American society development.<br />Research implications. The analysis of linguistic components of the “American dream” concept will help to trace the mechanisms by which the attractiveness of the American way of life is imposed on modern youth and to form the right guidelines in American values perception.</p></body></html> |
