Sumario:Although there are many books, articles and research papers written on Atatürk in Turkey, there are only two books written on Atatürk in the German press. Also, there are not any reviews about Atatürk’s era in the Nazi press. However, the thoughts and words of Hitler and his political party NSDAP which ruled Germany between 1933 and 1945 about the innovations, changes and developments in Atatürk’s era are still the subject of curiosity in Turkey. In order to satisfy this curiosity a little bit, this study puts forth the need to examine the articles about Atatürk’s era published in Völkischer Beobachter newspaper, which was considered as the official publication organ of the Nazi government. Taking this need in consideration, the study first identifies the articles about Atatürk’s era in the abovementioned newspaper and then tries to put forward the thoughts of Hitler and his party about this era, by examining these articles in chronological order. There were no negative opinions mentioned in these articles, because Hitler talked about the impact of Turkey’s achievements in Atatürk’s era while expressing his thoughts on the success of National Socialist movement in Germany in July 1933 and thus he put forth his positive opinion.
