Résumé: | This article analyses the Indian representation in contemporary Brazilian literature, from O rastro do Jaguar (2009), first romance of the journalist Murilo Carvalho. This work is inserted in the fictional line of questioning of the historical formation of the country. The analysis emphasizes the option to recover historical memory of two indigenous peoples, the Botocudos and the Guarani, confronting the divergent projects of indigenous nations and Brazilian nation. |
