Sumario: | Today, the most important value is information. Information technology constitutes the most important element of information society. With the rapid spread of information technology educational institutions have also begun to benefit from this technology. Due to the wide-spread use of information technology at schools, school administrators are expected to use the technology effectively. This research aims to reveal the level of executives’ competence on the use of information technology in secondary education institutions. The sample of the research constitutes 140 managers that work in official and private secondary education institutions in Uşak- central districts and in other districts. “Self-efficiency to use information technology in education“ survey was carried out to school administrators. Obtained data was entered and analyzed via the software package SPSS19.0. Data was tabulated by considering the demographics that joined the survey to demonstrate their competence. Firstly, Kalmogrov Smirnow normality test was conducted the data. The overall size of the regular distracted scale data, not normally distributed were observed in the lower size. So the overall size is analyzed with parametric test while the lower is analyzed by using non-parametric tests. T-test (independent samples t-test) was conducted for groups of two variables in the overall size. Between more than two groups variables, single factor analysis (one-way anova) of variance is made to determine whether there is difference or not. Then post-hoc TUKEY HSD test which is used for variables with multiple factors was conducted to determine the significance of difference to the significant theme. Mann Withney U test was made in groups of two variables in the lower size of measuring tool. Kruskall Wallis H test was performed to determine if there is difference among more then two group variables. |
