In this context, it is aimed to examine the central politics and to unify the reflection of these central policies in practice. This study has been carried out within the context of phenomenological design by adopting qualitative research method. Document review and interview technique is used for this. First of all, the legislation related to how the process of maintenance, repair and amendment in public schools in Turkey is studied and deductions are made. Then 18 school administrators who are working on different levels and types of schools were conducted semi-structured interviews. The data obtained are summarized under the research questions and values laid down by frequency. The results obtained are tabulated and the opinions are supported by direct quotations from the participants' opinions. It was concluded that managers' most common problems are related to the maintenance and repair of the wet area (f = 13). It was appeared that they had difficulties in financial matters (f = 15) and late arrival of the service (f = 5) while solving problems. According to the managers a special budget allocation to each school (f = 10) or establishing a professional maintenance team to be sent to school (F = 5) will help to overcome the problems. Accordingly, it may be advisable to pursue a set of regulations that will facilitate and accelerate the maintenance-repair process in the legislation. In addition, information can be given to the school administrators on the issues of budget management and development of relations with the environment.Canan DEMİR YILDIZBurhanettin DÖNMEZFırat UniversityarticlemaintenancerepairlegislationmanagementschoolSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 10, Iss 64, Pp 15-26 (2019)
