| Summary: | The objective of this article is to characterize the territorial dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry resulting from the public policy of generic medicines in Brazil in the period between 2000 and 2017. The methodology was based on bibliographical research and georeferenced location of the industry in these two moments of time. The main results show that the production of generics increa- sed significantly in this period, strengthening the pharmaceutical industry with national capital and promoting of concentration relative to the great centers of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. |
