Sumario: | Based on the study of two texts written by Eva Forest, Pablo Sastre spouse, this article analyzes the victim condition according to the definition that Jean Amery proposes considering the victim of torture as « a body and absolutely nothing else ». As a matter of fact, Journal et lettres de prison and Témoignages de lutte et de résistance relate how she dealt with her torture experience, during Francoism, as she was in jail because of the support she lent to ETA activists. The development of her self-narratives highlights the movement from a status of vulnerable victim to a precarious one: her speech achieves a political stand giving to her testimony the meaning of a ”political body”. |
