The article discusses the features and advantages of venture investment as a method of attracting investment and a form of development of innovative potential. The author analyzes the industry aspect of improving venture capital investments in Russia, their impact on the national economy. Objective: to study the characteristics of venture investment in a cyclical world economy. Method or methodology of work: general scientific, monographic, economic-mathematical, statistical, method of expert assessments. Results: the article formulates the main features, problems of the formation and use of venture capital investments in Russia.
