Sumario:The present study is based on the practice of tactical urbanism, which offers temporary, experimental, small-scale, low-cost, fast interventions (based on real interest) for various urban problems. The method of tactical urbanism which started in the USA is not yet widespread in Hungary, therefore the study summarizes the types and good examples that could be applied in Hungarian settlements. One of the potential location of tactical urbanism could be Pécs, as a former European Capital of Culture, university city, a regional center and the seat of many non-governmental organizations. The question arises as to how such an intervention can be implemented in Pécs, what factors influence the implementation, and whether there is the right of tactical urbanization to exist here. It is absolutely necessary to explore the feasibility process and the opinion of the residents of Pécs. In order to answer the questions, several pieces of literatures and settlement development documents of Pécs were processed and questionnaires were queried. Based on the results, it can be said that there is a public demand for outdoor community spaces in Pécs, at the same time the respondents feel that the development of these areas is the task of the local government.
