Sumario: | Energy literacy in education is one strategy to build awareness in students from an early age. The purpose of qualitative research is to capture the views of educational stakeholders on energy literacy programs, especially in Islamic boarding schools. The exploratory case study method uses document study, observation, and semi-structured interviews with school stakeholders, students, parents, the community, and the government representatives. As a result, the energy literacy program in education has become part of the curriculum 2013 at the Islamic boarding school. Energy literacy is a part of environmental education that emphasizes understanding, attitudes, and behaviour changes in science and religious subjects. The teaching aspect in changing understanding does not encounter obstacles. However, habituation and exemplary in forming noble attitudes and behaviours towards the natural use of energy and water are challenging. This success will support government programs and policies in the field of national energy conservation. |
