| Sumario: | The studies on Afro-descendent populations in Colombia have undergone substantial changes over the past few years due to an academic circle which produced them. However, they are also related to an evolution of the social and political contexts, changing these populations into central actors in the multicultural discussion. This text presents a panoramic vision of studies on black populations in Colombia. It includes the references considered essential to understand how the national and global dynamics affect the way issues about Afro-Colombians are dealt with. It is in this constantly moving field in which these studies and publications have been consolidated. |
