Sumario: | Language is human creation representing a complex system of thought and practice. It can be history when the speakers stop using it and pass it into the next generation. To maintain it, speakers should keep using it as their cultural identity and part of their civilization. Tradition makes language continuously used throughout time. This research shows how the Javanese language is maintained through a tradition of cutting natural dreadlock hair of particular kids in Dieng to support local tourism, which is done by using folklore field research to get the data. The research shows that the local people use old and modern Javanese language in the ceremony as part of the language and culture maintenance. |
