Sumario: | Pursuing opportunities is one of the few explored fields on entrepreneurship research
studies. The entrepreneurial process has started from one or several individuals about one
idea to be explored. Factors such as access to information and cognitive system influence
such mechanism, guiding behaviors towards the creation of values. The individuals role is
extremely important for success achievement. Thus, this paper introduces an approach of
pursuing opportunities according to one entrepreneurs view. The choice of the case study
was based on the innovative character of the opportunity pursued by the entrepreneur,
subject of this study. This paper is framed as a case study with oral history report, through
which the entrepreneurial behavior and the sense of opportunity are inferred in accordance
with the production and industrialization of diet-light food. The initial process of research
and development was carried out by a kind of hatching in a university in the south of Brazil,
when the Stevia Rebaudian plant, found in the Brazilian and Paraguayan flora, was studied. |
