At first, the source and load characteristics of a typical island power supply system are analyzed. Then, three characteristic indexes to distinguish island types are proposed which can achieve the feature extraction of typical scenarios of island power supply systems. On this basis, the cohesive hierarchical clustering based K-means clustering method is proposed for the clustering analysis of typical scenarios of the island power supply system. A case study is made to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
