Sumario:This work deals with the development process of an agricultural locality of the city of Canguçu/RS (South Half) from the understanding of the complexity of the context of the social relations which is integrated. The people of the locality, in the great majority, characterize themselves for the miscegenation between descendants of Portuguese, indians, blacks and Spaniard, for the agriculture of familiar base and the stigmata attributed to the ethnic origin. The objective of this study was to analyze the process of development of this agricultural society from the comment and understanding of the human behavior in interaction in the time and the space, looking for to perceive it as collective (local society) in continuous relation with the environment, in an open and interdependent process. For its accomplishment we in such a way use of the bibliographical research and secondary sources, as of comments and interviews opened in field research. As result: the construction of identities is related with the differentials of being able, characterizing or disqualifying social groups in imaginary the social one; b) the attribution of stigmata the subordinates social groups produces, in psique of these, mechanisms that impose limits to the social development.
