Sumario: | Clusters are a frequent phenomenon in developing countries, although extremely heterogeneous in terms oforigin, structure, and principles of organization, performance and growth expectations. Despite its importancein these countries, studies analysing clusters are quite few and recent. The objective of this paper is to presentsome general characteristics of clusters related to job market, working strategies and local support organizations, emphasizing their relation with the dynamic of the European Local Production Systems (LPS). We also showin what sense the analysis of the LPS can be useful to address important issues related to the development ofdeveloping countries and present some suggestions for future research related to clusters. |
